- Copies some facial expressions (NO) - By 8M
- Makes two-syllable sounds (YES)
By the end of month seven a baby typically:
- Can self-feed some finger foods (YES) - By 8M. Makan roti and steamed carrot.
- Makes wet razzing sounds (Tak faham)
- Turns in the direction of a voice (YES)
- Plays peekaboo (YES)
- Imitates many sounds (YES)
- Distinguishes emotions by tone of voice (YES) - "Haippp!" Melalak. Marah orang :D
By the end of month eight a baby typically:
- Chews on objects (YES)
- Reaches for utensils when being fed (YES) - Since 6M!
- Turns head away when finished eating (YES) - Siap tolak tangan kita and sembur!
- May sleep between 11 and 13 hours a night; takes 2 to 3 naps (may vary) (YES)

- Gets on arms and knees in crawling position (YES)
- Has specific cries for various needs (YES) - Kalau nak BF, merengek mengada. Kalau nak sleep, dia menjerit mcam nak rak

- Responds to own name (YES) - By 5M

By the end of month nine a baby typically:
- Reaches for toys (YES)
- Drops objects and then looks for them (YES)
- Becomes interested in grabbing the spoon during feedings (YES) - By 6M
- Goes from tummy to sitting by self (YES)

- Begins to identify self in a mirror's reflection (YES) - Tergelak tengok mirror!-By 6M
By the end of month ten a baby typically:
- Understands the concept of object permanence (YES) - Angkat pillow sampai dapat barang. Tak dapat, jerit! 8-)
- Gets upset if toy is removed (YES)
- Transfers object from hand to hand (YES)
- Stands holding onto someone (YES)
- Pulls to standing (YES)
- By the end of month eleven a baby typically:
- Says "ma-ma" and "da-da" discriminately (Mama, yes sepatutnya mummy. Abah ada la)
- Understands "no" (YES)
- Claps hands (YES)
- Waves bye-bye (YES) -
By the end of month twelve a baby typically:- May take one to two naps daily (YES)
- Triples birth weight and is 29 to 32 inches long (Not sure)
- Bangs two cubes together (YES)
- Puts objects into containers and then takes them out (NO)
- Voluntarily lets objects go (YES)
- Shakes head "no" (YES)
- Has fun opening and closing cabinet doors (YES)
- Crawls well (YES)
- "Cruises" furniture (Tak faham)

- Interested in books and may identify some things (YES)

- Shares toys but wants them back (YES) - Kita cakap 'Please.....', dia bagi. Pastu dia rampas balik.
- May form attachment to an item (YES) - fav toys. :)
- Pushes away what he doesn't want (YES)

- Understands use of certain objects (Don't think so)

Recently, I realized that Ar-Rayyan Darwish enjoys imitating people. It is a challenge for us sebenarnya when she reached this stage. Challenge to lead by example. May Allah the Almighty makes easy for us, Amin. :)
